With direct call, online and email based ‘scams’ being a prevalent aspect of fraud related crime it is imperative that you validate the authenticity of all internet sites you visit, and all emails you receive.

It is also increasingly important not to give out personal details regarding your finances over the phone. Local residents have been receiving calls from individuals claiming to be from Warwick Credit Union, requesting account details to ‘refund overpaid fees’.  Most organisations including Warwick Credit Union will never request personal details from you via email or over the phone.
 
Important correspondence from your financial institution will always be made in writing.
